- Soul Force newsletter, volume 4, number 5. The newsletter is printed on newsprint paper with black type. The newsletter is folded together but not stapled. The front cover features an image of a man with his hand on a wooden cross that is leaning sideways on the stairs of the United States Capitol building, which can be partially seen in the background. The man is standing with his back to the camera, and looking over his proper left shoulder towards the camera. There are seven (7) men and one (1) woman standing to the left and right of the man with his hand on the cross. The top third of the front cover has the masthead on the left that reads, [SOUL / force] and the date on the right that reads, [May / 1971]. Back cover is formatted like a post card, with a postage mark in the top right corner. In the center of the page is the address line. On the bottom right corner is an advertisement for upcoming Southeastern Christian Leadership (SCLC) event. The newsletter is fourteen (14) pages, and includes articles and black and white images throughout. Articles titles include: [SCLC: Faithful to Its / Function], [STAND/and TESTIFY], and [Peace and Justice] among others. The first page, located on the interior of front cover, lists the Editorial Board members, editorial staff names, and press names, along with the volume and issue number.
