- This slide is part of a collection of 35mm slides encapsulating Robert Houston's full portfolio of images related to the Poor People's Campaign and the antipoverty protest camp on the National Mall. Known as "Resurrection City," the camp lasted for six weeks in the spring of 1968.

- This color slide depicts Rev. Clarence LaVaughn Franklin, father of Aretha Franklin, under a large tent. In the foreground is a man in a dark button down shirt and dark blazer. He wears a gold necklace with a large cross pendant. He holds his left hand up by his throat. Visible behind him are four men, three of whom wear hats. A large handwritten sign is partially visible in the bottom left corner. The slide mount has text on the reverse that reads "processed by/ rogers color lab corp. / new york."
