- Bassist Phil Lesh used this guitar, The Eye of Horus while touring with his rock band Furthur in the 2000s. Made by German luthier Jens Ritter, the six-stringed instrument features an ebony fingerboard, LED lights and Egyptian motifs.
- California native Phil Lesh rose to prominence as a member of The Grateful Dead, a counterculture rock band formed in 1965. After the Dead's 1995 break up, Lesh continued to explore improvised jam music in the style of his former group. In 2009 he formed Furthur with former Grateful Dead bandmate Bob Weir
