- IMSAI's computer system became a standard, with its rugged power supply, room for expansion with plenty of internal slots, external floppy drive and CP/M. The IMSAI 8080 was one of the most successful copies of the Altair, with a video monitor and a disk storage system supplied by Micropolis.
- This particular IMSAI 8080 was purchased and assembled in Los Angeles in 1976 by Kenneth S. Widelitz, one of the donors. Several pieces, many stored in the case of the microcomputer, have separate index numbers, as do the monitor, the disk drive, and related software and documentation.
